One of the many gifts that God gave to the
"called" (Mt.24.14) and which obviously will have to answer is the
performance of leadership positions. Perhaps many have already read and
meditated on the 34th chapter of Ezekiel, and what the apostle Paul said at
Miletus before their final farewell to the leaders of that church
(Hch.20.17-35), and avoid then they are taken as those merchants of faith that
godliness is a means of gain. (Tit. 1.11).
The joy of those who work in the "Lord's
vineyard" (Kingdom of God) to achieve real and full establishment in this
unfortunate and rampant world will be infinite, if we have to give up all
selfish claim of individual enrichment, misuse power, and desires for personal
prestige (Mt 6.13).
Remember also that "that servant, which knew
his lord's will, and prepared not he, neither did according to his will, shall
be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy
of stripes, shall be beaten with few; For everyone to whom much is given, much
is required; and to whom much has been entrusted, more will be asked.
"(Lk. 12.47-48)
