NOT TO SERVE TWO GENTLEMEN

Every Christian, if we adhere to what the Bible says, is called to serve God exclusively, since "to God what is of God and to Caesar what is Caesar's," because "no servant can serve two masters ; For either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will esteem the one and despise the other. "; Therefore, "thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and SERVE HIM ONLY" (Mt.22.21, Lc.16.13; Mt.4.10).

So the best and most important and most important thing is for us to be officials of the Kingdom of God, and NOT in other realms, even if they can fill us with riches, power and prestige (Mt.6.13). But how can we serve the Creator of the Universe?

Our Eternal Father set up for mankind a master plan of salvation, and wishes his devotees to collaborate in the consolidation and effectiveness of this great work of liberation (1Co.3.9; Col.4.11). He wants to legislate about his own people through his "new regime of the Spirit" (Ro.7.6), and this community, created by him and for him, requires servants to design, promote and administer his grace through plans, plans And programs for the common good of its members, where love, equality (2-Co.8.13-15) and justice prevail, but never deceit and exploitation.

For those who adhere to our Savior King, Jesus Christ (also called Yeshua in the Hebrew language), it is written: "Proclaim among your nations their glory, in all their peoples their wonders ... To make known to the sons of men their mighty deeds , And the glory of the magnificence of his kingdom "(Ps.96.3, 145.12, Mt.5.14-16).

BAD AND NEGLIGENT SERVANT

Every Christian community has the right to benefit from the laws and services offered by the State with a view to consolidating the common good in organizations that are recognized and authorized by the Government to pay the corresponding taxes.

Not to use these tools is synonymous with prevarication, since "he who knows how to do good, and does not do it, is sin" (James 4:17, Mt 25: 41-46). He would be like the servant of the parable who by fear or negligence hid his talent without any profit (MT.25.14-30).

We must therefore organize ourselves as true members of the Body of Christ to claim such rights, and not expect to live, unfortunately, under governments that persecute, torture and kill devout Christians and fill our cemeteries with martyrs who have opened their arms to the Death but not life and freedom when they could.

WORMS OF THE HELL

What a horrible nightmare! Little was left to give me a heart attack ...! I rose, sweating, trembling; I immediately knelt down to pray ... I dreamed that I attended, along with many other inhabitants of the great city, a heavenly trial in which a being in shining clothing, surrounded by many angels, was the Judge. I was able to recognize that He was the One who was, as two thousand years ago, tortured and crucified in Jerusalem in a voluntary sacrifice for the whole Humanity.

Each of the people present stood before this venerable Being to receive approval or disapproval for their good or bad deeds done during their lives on Earth. When it was my turn, in the midst of the expectation of that crowd, this Judge addressed me, and unreservedly said to me: "Stand aside, I have nothing with you, doer of wickedness!" I felt as if the world were sinking under my feet, How terrible! I woke up terrified! During the month following this creepy dream I thought a lot about my behavior as a Christian.

I am a baptized believer who regularly attends the temple, I pray, I read the Bible and I believe I fulfill all my ecclesiastical duties. I do not smoke, I do not get drunk, I do not fornicate, I do not ... and all the others do not. What's more, I exercise leadership where I congregate. So if that bad dream was a warning to me to correct something, what would that something be? I did a lot of meditation, until I thought I had found the answer.

I have come to the conviction that God not only wants us NOT to do evil, but He wants us to DO GOOD that is within our reach. That while justice says that we do not do to others what we do not want for us, the love of God, which was poured out in our hearts, goes beyond that justice, saying that we do to others what we want for us. Failure to do so may produce in us such remorse as to be felt to be being eaten by the worms of hell (Mark 9:44).

Christian spiritual love is much more than hugs, shallow prayers and good intentions. The Bible says, "So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, and especially to the family of the faith" (Galatians 6: 10). And boy, do we have opportunities! For, like the Apostle Paul, we can appeal to our rights of citizenship (Acts 22: 25-29) to claim the state (for which we pay taxes) the defense of our life, honor, property and other rights, as Well says the Constitution of this country.

Christians are also part of the community of inhabitants of this country and if, as such, they organize themselves in pursuit of the common good, they will be able to receive from the state government sufficient economic resources for their purposes, without anyone having to divert them from ethical principles for those who biblically orient their lives.

Then, as responsible Christians that someday we have to account for the talents that the Savior gave us to participate in His Work, we must know and make known these rights that assist us, to achieve, at least in part, to have abundant life That Jesus Christ wants for us, because "... to him who knows how to do good, and does not do it, is sin to him" (James 4:17).

A KING CLOWN?

When in their martyrdom they were torturing Jesus, they made fun of him as if he were a "clown king." Nowadays they do not even talk about him as king, and those who do it do it only as a compliment or as an ornament. They do not take the king seriously, let alone his KINGDOM.

And worst of all, many go ahead to twist in people's understanding by making them think that it's just something after death, or that it's just something personal, emotional ...

In this order of ideas, we have blocked the divine plan of salvation that consists not only of words and sentiments but in CONVERSION in active members of the Body of Christ, so that INTEGRATED under the doctrinal principles of His government (declared in His Word), we can To put in high the reaches of justice that can reach those who participate, not so much of fruitless religiosities, but of the effects of His sovereignty in us as a true nation created by the same God to announce the virtues of his government.

WE ARE BLESSED TO BLESS

In the midst of the despair of a society overshadowed by violence, vice and poverty, and when we think that resignation is the best solution we must adopt, the vision of the fruits that has produced Through the ages, the martyrdom of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, whose effects have been reflected in the positive change and improvement of thousands upon thousands of individuals and entire peoples.

That is when our hope resurfaces, especially when considering that the people of God, by its very nature and reason of being, is placed to safeguard the values of their faith, thus preventing immorality from causing the havoc we are seeing in this society.

It is to be considered that Christians have before the State duties to fulfill and rights to enjoy, and one of these rights gives us the opportunity to create and / or participate in community organizations of common benefit, without having to give up our identity and autonomy ; On the contrary, we can extol the name and sovereignty of our King Savior.

Therefore, brother and Christian friend, "Remember this, exhorting them before the Lord not to contend with words, which is of no avail, but for the perdition of the hearers." ... "For this is the will of God: that Doing well, shut up the ignorance of foolish men; As free, but not as those who have freedom as a pretext to do evil, but as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brothers. Fear God. Honor the king. "... in this case, the State. (2-Ti.2.14; 1-P.2.15-17).
