The people of God is a holy nation called
to be as integrated as members of one body. Solidarity must act because God's
love has been poured into our hearts (Ro.5.5), not vain or selfish interests.
In this sense we are told that "though I bestow all my goods to feed the
poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, I gain
nothing" (1-Co.13.3).
Our solidarity, as participants of the
Kingdom of God must be a priority with our family in the faith. "So, as we
have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those of the household
of faith" (Gá.6.10). Because ... "It is good to take the children's
bread and throw it to the dogs" (Mt.15.26). Let's examine what the Master
instructed us: "For if you love those who love you, what reward have ye?
Do not even the publicans the same? And if you salute your brethren only, what
do ye more than others? They do not even the publicans so? (Mt.5.46-47). But
the fact of loving strangers and enemies does not mean that we stop our
brothers in the background. 2-Cr. 19.1-2 we read: "Jehoshaphat king of
Judah returned safely to his home in Jerusalem.
And he went out to meet Jehu son of Hanani
the seer, and said to King Jehoshaphat: thou help the ungodly, and love them
that hate the Lord? As it has left the anger of the LORD against you for this.
"And Saint John says: "Dear friend, you drive when you pay a service
to the brethren, especially to strangers, who have borne witness of your love
church; You will do well to send forward worthily of his service to God, to
continue their journey. For they went out for love of the Name, taking nothing
of the Gentiles. We therefore ought to receive such, that we may cooperate with
the truth. "
When Jesus is revealed as judge questioned
what was done or did not do "his brethren" (Mt.25.40, 45). And who
are the brothers of Jesus? The same Word answers: "Then his mother and
brothers came to him; but they could not reach him because of the crowd. And it
was told him, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see. And
he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brothers are those who hear
the word of God and do it "(Lk 8.19-21 One of the promises of our Savior
is the reward not lose even for a glass.. water we give to someone for being a
"brother" or "disciple" of Christ. So, if we have great
"treasures in heaven" (Mt.6.19-21) get organized so that we can
mutually serve. The enjoyment is not only after the full establishment of the
Kingdom of God on earth, but now, for the principles that give life and
identity to the holy nation of God (1P.2.9) allow us to live the abundant life
together and harmony, as our Lord Jesus prayed to his heavenly Father was
granted.
