The opponent of our Heavenly Father knows
that you can not destroy this kingdom but its growth may obstruct or deny
distorting reality (Acts 13. 6-10).
One of the many ways is to plant in the minds
of many believers, incoherent and petty, "that rise against the knowledge
of God" (2 Cor 10.5) Childish, for example, is the argument of those who
claim the same Jesus Christ is both a king and a kingdom.
It is as if a person could be herself a
country which was its president. We are so accustomed to religious fantasies,
born of fear, ignorance and passions; we tend to move away from what makes us
reasonable and sometimes difficult to do the most elementary realistic
reflections.
Neither Jesus nor the Church is the kingdom
of God. Jesus is king. The Church is the group of people in which and through
which he wants to exercise the sovereignty of their government.
