We are making great strides in the realistic
conception of the Word of God. However, today when discussing the social aspect
of the affairs of God, many still think they are perverting the Scriptures, as
if the Church itself was not society. One of the steps we are taking is that,
at least, we talked about the gospel of the Kingdom of God, that certainly was
what Jesus came to preach, but many still do not understand clearly what it is.
Others
believe that expressions such as "people of God", "holy
nation", "newness of the Spirit", etc., to the "theology of
liberation" allusion is made. I have understood that this school of
thought everything related to the problems of the poor classes of the countries
considered as "Christians" also belongs. At this point we would have
to clarify something:
Being "Christian" does not mean
being born into a particular country or family or being passive objects of a
religious rite in which our moral conscience and desire had nothing to do.
Could not be farther from the truth. The terms "safe,"
"redeemed", "liberated" are synonymous. I prefer the latter
because it is less polluted "religious opium". Our Savior wants to
free his people, but what is Christian salvation or liberation? Who really are
"the people of God"?
There is no room to explain, but sow unrest
among those who are on their way to understand the value of "hidden
treasure", which is well above the religious fantasies and unproductive
theological rhetoric with which a few Ladino exploit ignorance and suffering of
the crowds.
