The majority
of the Jews who accepted that Jesus was the prophetic king, did not understand
the plan of liberation that the Messiah was proposing. They believed that he
was going to lead a revolt so great that he could free his people from the Roman
yoke (Lk.9.11).
On another occasion they were more direct
when they asked him when the Kingdom of God would come, to which he replied
that he was already among them (Lk.17: 20-21) growing like the seed of a tree
(Mt.13, 31-32) , that they could strive to enter (Lc.16.16) and participate in
it (Ap.1.9), because according to their capacities (Mt.25.14-15) they could
collaborate (1-Co.3.9) in the service and consolidation of the "new regime
of the Spirit "(Ro.7.6) to proclaim with deeds the virtues of this sublime
government (1-P.2.9).
In effect, the people who participate in this
project know that, even though they live in the midst of the "children of
disobedience" (Eph.2.1-3), they are exhorted to make commitments of
association only with the people of God (2-Co). .6.14-18), "so that there
is no disagreement in the body, but that the members all care for one another.
So if a member suffers, all the members grieve with him, and if a member
receives honor, all members with him rejoice "..." so that we are no
longer fluctuating children, carried by every wind of doctrine, by the
stratagem of men who, to deceive, use the trickery of error with cleverness,
but by following the truth in love, let us grow in ALL in that which is the
head, that is, Christ, from whom the whole body, well concerted and united with
each other for all the joints that help each other, according to the activity
of each member, he receives his growth to be built up in love
"(1-Co.12.25-26; Eph.4.14-16).
