The Holy Scriptures treat the people of God
as "strangers and pilgrims" (1-P.2.11-12) in relation to the common
people. The Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and across the desert toward the
Promised Land "flowing with milk and honey" were current figure of
spiritual Israel (Ro.9.6-8; 10. 11.13; 2.28-29).
The Church or God's people out of Egypt, in
the spiritual sense means the sinful world, and is heading to the
"glorious freedom of the children of God" (Ro.8.20-21). The agreement
or covenant made by God with Israel so they could receive the blessings of
Canaan, the Promised Land, consisted of a series of strict ordinances and
sometimes so severe that the rape was death itself.
Now, the new covenant or plan of God to free
mankind from the bondage of sin ... Of his own inability to successfully
control the overflow of their low human tendencies, disease, death, injustice,
evil and social chaos that it generates ; the revelation of that "good
news" or gospel, was what Jesus came to declare: "It is necessary to
other cities also preach the kingdom of God; because for this purpose I have
been sent "(Lc.4.43; Jn.18.37; 14.15; 3.16-17)..
So that realize the "good news"
about his will "and perfect" (Ro.12.2) is one of the fundamental
means by which we count we approach God for answers. (Lc.9.2; Mr.1.15;
Ef.6.14).
But our Saviour was aware that mere
knowledge was not enough, sometimes fatigue and puffed up (Ec.12.12; 1-Co.8.1),
but we needed a special power to escape from the tyranny of evil forces ,
concentrated in Satan and his demons (Ef.6.12; 1-P.5.8) in the sinful world
(Stg.4.4;. 1-John 2: 15-17), and our own human nature (Ro.7.22- 24). Thus,
people who believe the good news about the Kingdom of God, and accept the
sovereignty of King Jesus in their lives, are provided with another great
resource to defeat adversity:
It is the power of the Holy Spirit of God in
their lives, which is received by exercising faith in the redeeming martyrdom
of our Savior. Who become servants of this sovereign, after recognizing his
futile way of life, apart from God "without hope and without God in the
world" (Ef.2.12) are guaranteed a victorious life, by virtue not of its
own forces and merits but for this precious gift that makes them partakers of
the divine nature (1-P.1.4, one-Co.3.16; Hch.1.8; Jn.14 15-17;. 2-Co.4.7;
Ephesians 3. 14-21).
Other large resources available to
participants in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ is the support of his angels, which
are "ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be
heirs of salvation" (He.1.14).
Someday our King Salvador, in person, make
us surrender of his kingdom in its fullness, free from weeds or corrupted
elements (Mt.13.41-43; 25.34), and we also give an accurate account of the work
performed angels of the Lord for us, because of our needs and in response to
the prayers that did the Eternal Father on behalf of his beloved Son, Jesus of
Nazareth.
